Nvidia has backed Indian startup Simplismart, according to TechCrunch, highlighting continued demand for tools that help companies run artificial-intelligence models with fewer graphics processing units.
TechCrunch reports that Simplismart’s annualized revenue run rate grew 14-fold in six months. The United States now accounts for more than half of the startup’s revenue, the report said.
The company’s focus is part of a broader effort to reduce the computing resources required to deploy AI models. For businesses, using fewer GPUs could help manage infrastructure costs and improve access to AI workloads, although the report did not provide further details about Nvidia’s backing or Simplismart’s technology.
