Apple may be preparing a home robot for 2027, with a reported price of about $1,000 and a narrow set of functions, according to Ars Technica.
The reported device could move around the home, support FaceTime calls and switch lights on. Ars Technica also says the project is backed by Apple CEO John Ternus, while cautioning that the robot may have a relatively high price and limited uses.
Apple has not been reported here as having launched or formally announced the product, so its timing, capabilities and price remain subject to change.
